Putting down roots in your home state can be the igniting spark for fighters looking to take the hometown hero route before hitting the open road on the adventure that is mixed martial arts. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a guardian of grueling enforcement ready to stand watch over the cold battleground at Lightweight for Legacy Fighting Alliance in the promotion’s debut show of 2026 from the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel at LFA 224 on January 16. A professional mixed martial artist since September 2025 and representing The Academy MN, Mitchell Wilson holds a 1-0 record with his only win coming via submission. He has spent his whole career with Legacy Fighting Alliance and is 1-0 under their banner. Wilson has never gone to the scorecards during his journey as a professional MMA fighter with a 100 percent finish rate to show for it. He has spent his entire career in the United States in his home state of Minnesota. The lone finish of his career inside the professional ranks has come in a single round with a time of one minute and 30 seconds. Wilson also fought for Legacy Fighting Alliance as an Amateur before turning professional. He has a single first-round finish under his belt in his one and only professional appearance.

In his professional MMA debut and promotional debut under the Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 217, he faced Alex Alejendre and submitted him via rear-naked choke in round one. The win notched Wilson the first submission win of his professional career along with victory and finish number one under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner. He also picked up his first win overall as a professional mixed martial artist in the process. At 25 years of age, Wilson’s zealous passion for the land of 10 thousand lakes is a harsh reminding reality to opponents who poach and encroach with harmful misgivings on his home turf!
