In mixed martial arts, some opportunities athletes only take once they come face to face with the reality of being a true winner and all of the responsibilities that come with it, because they know that falling short as the runner-up can carry an even heavier burden too great to bear alone on their own when truth stares back at them in the mirror. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a mountaineer of manly fortitude ready to chisel out a tale of triumphant boot strap beginnings for Fury Fighting Championship at Bantamweight. A professional mixed martial artist since August 2025 and representing Stout PGH, Luke Martin holds a 2-0 record consisting of one submission and one decision. He has fought for Caged Thunder and Fury Fighting Championship. Martin is 1-0 under the Fury Fighting Championship banner. His lone decision win has resulted in a unanimous verdict over the span of three rounds and a timeframe of 15 minutes. The only finish of Martin’s career as a professional MMA fighter has been inside the opening round. He has spent his whole journey in the United States.
In his professional MMA debut in the co-main event of Caged Thunder 33, he faced Jerad Patterson and defeated him via unanimous decision to notch his first decision win as a professional. Then in his promotional debut under the Fury Fighting Championship banner on the preliminary card of Fury FC 114, Martin submitted Damien DeLeon via rear-naked choke in the first round. The victory scored Martin the first submission win of his professional career along with win and finish number one under the Fury Fighting Championship banner. He also secured his second overall victory as a professional mixed martial artist in the process. At 2-0, Martin’s hard scrabble mentality proves to other hard lifers that any chance to make an honest buck should be savored with relish and not squandered on the scrap pile!
