There is always going to be a certain weight class, be it big or small, where the expectations are held to a standard that only heightens the bar for overall performance once they reach a particular potential ceiling after coming over from another competitive sport. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a gator of gunslinging explosiveness ready to make the cage floor quake and shatter the silent sting of criticism at heavyweight for Fury Fighting Championship. A professional mixed martial artist since April 2023 and representing Kill Cliff FC, Anthony Wint owns an undefeated 5-0 record consisting of three knockouts, one submission and one decision. Wint is 2-0 under the Fury Fighting Championship banner. His only decision win has resulted in a split decision verdict. All four of Wint’s finishes during his time as a professional MMA fighter have been before the final bell. He has fought for various promotions throughout his tenure in the professional ranks including Titan Fighting Championship, XFC Double Down Fighting Championship, and Fury Fighting Championship. Wint has spent his entire career in the United States mostly in his home state of Florida in addition to Texas.
In his professional MMA debut at Titan FC 81, he defeated Luis Garcia via TKO in the second round. Wint submitted Jawaski Bethly at Double Down Fighting Championship 1 via rear-naked choke in round one to obtain his first and only submission victory as a professional. Then in his promotional debut under the Fury Fighting Championship banner on the main card of Fury FC 103, he defeated Omar El Sahlah via a split decision to pick up his lone decision win as a professional. Wint defeated Emmanuel Verdier via technical knockout in round three at XFC Young Guns. He defeated Miles Banks in the first round on the main card of Fury FC Challenger Series 15. The victory scored Wint the third knockout win of his professional career alongside securing his first finish and second victory under the Fury Fighting Championship banner. He also earned his fifth consecutive win overall to start his journey as a professional mixed martial artist in the process.
In the main event of Fury FC 117 on March 15, Wint will square off against Jamhal Tatum 6-3 for the Fury Fighting Championship Heavyweight title. Good luck Anthony!
