Being the fresh face in an established promotion often means facing the toughest challenges straight out of the gate with a limited margin for mistakes but plenty of room to improve in your next opportunity with a full training camp properly under your belt. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a stockyards stallion ready to create a Red River stampede with measured fury in Fury Fighting Championship. A professional mixed martial artist since March 2025 and representing De La Rosa MMA and Genesis Jiu-Jitsu, Rod Moore touts a 3-2 record in five bouts consisting of two decisions and one submission. Moore has fought for XKO, Peak Fighting and Fury Fighting Championship. He is 1-0 under the Fury Fighting Championship banner. Each of his decision wins have resulted in split decision verdicts over the duration of three rounds and a 15-minute timeframe. Moore has finished one out of his three victories through five appearances inside the professional ranks. His entire career has been in the United States in his home state of Texas.
In his professional MMA debut at XKO Fight Night, he faced Justin McCormack and went on to submit him in the third round via arm-triangle choke to get his first submission win as a professional alongside his one and only professional finish. Moore defeated Adam Amindo via a split decision at Peak Fighting 46. Then in his promotional debut under the Fury Fighting Championship banner on the main card of Fury FC 123 at a catchweight of 150 pounds, he defeated Emmanuel Calhoune via a split decision to earn the second decision win of his professional career along with earning his first victory under the Fury Fighting Championship banner. Moore also picked up his third win as a professional MMA fighter in the overall process. At 3-2, Moore is a prospect whose sense of wild freedom and tireless tradition to his lone star roots show why some horses won’t be easy to rope in even if you have hometown ties on the regional trail somewhere along your trek route!
