Coming from another country only to put down more representative roots for a new nation of origin can provide a small glimpse into the start of a start of a combat sports story with every subsequent contest chapter filling in more of the blank spaces like an artist painting a picture on an empty canvas on the sheets of a ghost. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a clubber crab of hammer and nail effects ready to exercise his provincial claws to put opponents in a painful power pinch at bantamweight for Unified MMA. A professional mixed martial artist since March 2026 and representing Tristar Gym, Edwyn Petrea touts a 2-0 record with both of his wins coming via knockout. Petrea has made his professional home under the Unified MMA banner and is 2-0 for them with two finishes in two appearances under his belt to back it up. He has never gone to the scorecards over the course of his adventure inside the professional ranks with a finish rate of 100 percent to show for it. Each of his professional finishes have come inside of a single round of five minutes or fewer.
In his professional MMA debut and promotional debut with Unified MMA at Unified MMA 68, he faced Mohammed Abakar and went on to knock him out in round one. Petrea also defeated Shodmon Primshoev in the first round at Unified MMA 69 to earn the second knockout victory of his professional career alongside consecutive wins and finishes under the Unified MMA banner. He also picked up back-to-back victories to begin his arc as a professional MMA fighter in the process overall.
At Unified MMA 70 on December 18 from River Cree Resort and Casino, Petrea will seek to continue his hot starting streak when he battles a fellow unbeaten finisher in Ben Fehr at bantamweight. Good luck Edwyn!
