Two of the top British fighters competing internationally will be part of Brave Combat Federation’s next fight card, Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions.
Brave CF officials have confirmed that Nottingham’s Carl “The Bomber” Booth and Watford’s Charlie Leary will join the November 17 card in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
A former title contender at Brave CF welterweight division, Carl Booth is looking to bounce back from his defeat against the champion Carlston Harris in August. With a professional record of 7-2 (1 NC), Booth is known for his slick striking skills and deadly knockout power.
Carl Booth will have a familiar face on the opposite side of the cage: Jordan’s Jarrah Al Selawe. Carl beat Selawe with a 31-second knockout in his professional debut, back in 2014.
As his fellow countryman, Charlie Leary also searches redemption. The former three-time British champion debuted at Brave CF in March and got knocked out by Morocco’s Ottman Azaitar in an instant classic, which at least gave him the “Fight of the Night” bonus in Abu Dhabi (UAE).
Leary’s opponent will be Straight Blast Gym’s Daniele Scatizzi, from Italy. Scatizzi has a professional record of 8 wins and only 3 losses and recently moved down to the Lightweight division.
Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions is set for November 17th, at the Khalifa Sports City Arena, as the promotion returns to the Kingdom of Bahrain after spending the year expanding its operations and putting on events in countries such as Brazil (twice), Mexico, Kazakhstan, India and the United Arab Emirates. Brave 9 will be the culmination of the International Combat Week, alongside the IMMAF World Championships, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
