UFC veteran, BRAD PICKETT, has confirmed the final fight card for RISE OF CHAMPIONS 4, which takes place this coming Saturday, 30 September at the Brentwood Leisure Centre.
The fourth instalment of Rise of Champions will feature fellow UFC veteran, John Maguire as he takes on Shahid Hussain in a professional welterweight showdown.
Of the event, Pickett comments: “ROC 4 is looming over us now, and we have a jam packed card ready for Saturday night! Once again, I’m thrilled by the amount of talent I’ve managed to secure for the event and I have no doubt that attendees will be in for a night of first class MMA action.
“As with previous cards, we have some familiar faces joining us… Mike Ekundayo is looking to make his ROC record a clean sweep of wins, Janusz Walochowski will be aiming to level the playing field after suffering a loss previously at Rise of Champions. And as ever, we’re pretty sure we have the MMA stars of tomorrow right here so don’t miss out!”
Rise of Champions 4 will be broadcast next week via UFC Fight Pass. Stay tuned to social media for details.
Pickett and his long time coach, Mickey Papas set up ROC in 2015, as a home for both professional and amateur MMA athletes to hone their skills. The promotion has seen the likes of Mike Shipman, Daniel Crawford, Craig White, Corrin Eaton and Carl Booth pass through its cage, making it a must-see night out for UK MMA fans. The show even nudged its way into the mainstream media in 2016, with video of the amateur bout between actor-turned-athlete Josh Herdman and Janusz Walachowski going viral.
