Cage Warriors’ March 24th card takes shape with the addition of Dean Trueman vs Corrin Eaton, Brad Wheeler vs Mehrdad Janzemini and a host of other London centric bouts.
If Cage Warriors’ return to London already had you excited, these new additions to an already tantalising card should ensure this event is marked firmly in your 2018 MMA calendar. This new wave of bouts add more incredible action to a night which promises 4 world title fights across 2 main cards at London’s Indigo at the O2 on March 24th.
Dean Trueman (7-4), a fan favourite with a string of stellar Cage Warriors performances, will return to the octagon to face Corrin Eaton (9-2-0), a fight that was due to happen in September last year but was postponed due to Eaton sustaining an injury during camp. Both men have four knockout finishes under their belt, making this an exciting match up that doesn’t look like it’ll go the distance.
Second to be announced is a Welterweight match up between Brad Wheeler (16-11-0) and Mehrdad Janzemini (8-2). 10 opponents have fallen to Wheeler’s submission skills, and he’ll no doubt be looking to put on another showcase in front of thousands of home fans on March 24th. Janzemini is no stranger to finishing fights either, with every one of his eight wins coming within the distance. Don’t sleep on this one.
Joining Wheeler on the CW92 card, also training out of London’s MMA Clinic, are Darren O’Gorman (5-3) and Arvydas Juska (2-3). O’Gorman, who’s five wins have all come via submission, will come up against Salih Kulucan (5-5), a dangerous and well-rounded bantamweight from London’s MMA Terror Squad. Lithuanian middleweight Juska will face James Webb (2-1) of SBG Swords, which is another fight not to miss given that both men are coming off impressive submission wins at Cage Warriors events in 2017.
In the Welterweight division, Jamie Richardson (6-3) comes up against Phil Mulpeter (7-5) in an English vs Irish clash between two fighters who are known for leaving everything in the octagon. Richardson’s last fight against Hakon Foss at CW86 was a contender for Cage Warriors fight of the year, a gruelling all-out battle which ended in a knockout victory for Richardson. Mulpeter, the more experienced fighter, will look to halt Richardson’s rise and bring home a victory for his Irish fanbase.
The final fight to be announced is a light heavyweight clash between Pelu Adetola (4-6) and Modestas Bukauskas (4-2). This one has fireworks written all over it, with Adetola coming from a strong Muay Thai boxing background and 3 of Bukauskas’ 4 wins coming via TKO.
“This is, without a doubt, one of the most exciting events we’ve ever staged,” says Cage Warriors President Graham Boylan. “We’ve got high-calibre fighters from all over Europe coming up against the UK’s finest, and we’re lining up world title fights that will make this a show to remember.”
CW92 is the event every MMA fan across Europe is talking about, bringing fighters from across the continent together for one huge night which looks to be one of the biggest in Cage Warriors history.
