Cage Warriors announce a massive domestic clash for CW95 at London’s Indigo at the O2 when Ed ‘King’ Arthur and Mike ‘Airlines’ Ekundayo debut with Europe’s leading MMA promotion in a seriously exciting fight for the bantamweight division.

Cage Warriors are continuing their mission to showcase the very best in European fighting talent by stacking their CW95 card even further, to include two of the most talked-about names on the European scene.

“We’re delighted to welcome two more of the most legitimate contenders in Europe to the Cage Warriors bantamweight division, which is on fire right now,” says CW President Graham Boylan. “We’ve been watching these two closely and decided that London was the perfect place for them to meet – a hometown event and a massive fight for our U.K fans.”

After going undefeated as an amateur, Ed Arthur burst into the bantamweight rankings in July 2013 and embarked on a 6-fight win streak which included 2 TKOs and 3 submissions, with a victory over ex- Cage Warriors champion and now UFC prospect Nathaniel Wood. Arthur has travelled across Europe bringing home wins for England against some of the toughest opposition around and now returns home to debut with Cage Warriors and take on the incredibly dangerous and still unbeaten Mike Ekundayo.

Ekundayo, a teammate of Nathaniel Wood under the tutelage of UK MMA legend and UFC veteran Brad Pickett, has never tasted defeat in either his amateur or pro career. Of his 6 wins, only one has gone to a decision, and his most recent victory over Tom Mearns ended in one of the most brutal stoppages of 2018 so far. Ekundayo’s strength and versatility seem to be at a career high.

“I’ve always had my eyes set on fighting with Cage Warriors and putting on those yellow gloves,” says Ekundayo. “To do it at the O2 Arena which is a place that feels like home is a perfect match for me.”

The Indigo at the O2 has hosted some of the most memorable scenes in recent Cage Warriors history over the last few years, often courtesy of London favourite Nathaniel Wood, who’s blistering hometown knockout performances secured his place on the UFC roster. The Cage Warriors bantamweight division has shown no signs of slowing since Wood’s departure, with the now vacant belt on the line when Brian Bouland and Ilia Topuria face off at CW94, and undefeated super prospect Jack Shore back in training after an injury earlier this year.

With 6 fighters going from Cage Warriors to the UFC since the start of this year alone, and 8 ex-Cage Warriors fighters competing at the UFC’s most recent event in Liverpool, Europe’s leading MMA promotion is living up to its name. All eyes will be on the Indigo at the O2 on July 21st!

Also announced for CW95’s huge 5th-anniversary card is a headline slot for Karl Moore in the first defence of his light heavyweight title, and a welterweight matchup between Scotland’s Ross Houston and 19-fight veteran Nathan Jones along with a host of other bouts below.
