This year has seen Cage Warriors lock up some of the top talents across Europe to their ever-expanding roster. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will a battering bulldozer looking to make an instant impact on Cage Warriors light heavyweight ranks when he makes his debut for the promotion on October 20 at Cage Warriors 98.
A professional since June 2011 and representing Team Renegade, Yannick Bahati holds an 8-4-1 record in 12 career bouts as a professional comprised of four knockouts, three submissions one decision and one no contest. Bahati has fought for various promotions including BAMMA and EFC.
In his MMA debut at Fight UK 4, he knocked out Dan Watkins in the first round. Bahati defeated his next two opponents via TKO in Matt Hallam and Thiamer Lore. For his debut outing with BAMMA at BAMMA 11, he defeated Ben Constantine via unanimous decision. In his second appearance with EFC at EFC 45, Bahati submitted Warren Allison in the first round via keylock. He also tapped out Jp Kruger via kimura in the first round at EFC 49. At EFC 56, Bahati defeated David Buirski via TKO in round two to earn his fourth knockout victory as a professional.
In 2017 he returned to the BAMMA cage to face an old foe in Matt Hallam at BAMMA 29 and submitted him in the second round via rear naked choke to capture the BAMMA middleweight title. For his debut outing with Cage Warriors 98 on October 20, Bahati will face Brazil’s Alan Carlos in a light heavyweight clash that is rife with intrigue. With many high profile names and matchups already having been added to the bill I would not be totally shocked if Bahati steals the show and puts himself in prime position for a run at Cage Warriors gold. Good luck Yannick!
