When a fighter’s tenure with the UFC comes to an end, they are often bound and determined to do whatever it takes to get back there.

In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a towering Mississippi mauler looking to take another step forward in his road back towards the UFC.

A professional since January 2014 and representing Jackson-Wink MMA, Chase Sherman holds a 12-6 record in 18 career bouts as a professional comprised of 11 knockouts and one decision.

Sherman has competed for Island Fights, the UFC and Titan Fighting Championship.

In his MMA debut at V3 Fights, he defeated Braxton Smith via TKO in the first round.

Sherman also defeated his next two opponents via TKO in Chris Jensen at Atlas Fights battle on Mobile Bay and Justin Thornton at Island Fights 28 respectively.

Then at Island Fights 30, he defeated Alex Rozman via TKO in round one. Sherman also defeated Wes Little via TKO in the first round at Fight Force International Blood and Sand 15.

He defeated his next three opponents via knockout that included victories over Sammy Collingwood and Brad Johnson. 

In his only appearance with Titan Fighting Championship at Titan FC 38, Sherman defeated fellow UFC veteran Jack May via TKO in the first round.

In his third outing with the UFC at UFC 211 he knocked out Rashad Coulter via TKO in round two and earned his sole Fight of the Night bonus while he was with the UFC in the process.

At UFC on Fox 25, Sherman defeated Poland’s Damian Grabowski via unanimous decision to secure his second UFC win.

Following his release from the UFC he faced Frank Tate in the co-main event of Island Fights 51 and defeated him via TKO in the first round.

The victory also earned Sherman his 11th knockout win as a professional.
