The early days of Bellator MMA saw the rise of many future champions. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to an eastern quaker who always brought the fire in the early beginnings of Bellator MMA’s light heavyweight division. A professional since December 2005 and representing Hellfish Mixed Martial Arts, Tim Carpenter owns a 9-2 record in 11 career bouts as a professional comprised of four submissions, four decisions and one knockout. Carpenter spent the majority of his professional career with Bellator MMA. Out of his nine professional victories, he managed to earn a finish in five of them.

In his MMA debut at Sportfighting 2, Carpenter submitted Johnathan Helwig via triangle armbar in the first round. He also tapped out Dale Carson in the second round via armbar at Cagefighting 4 Battle for the Belts. Then at CITC Fearless Fighters Return, Carpenter submitted Sean McCann in round one via triangle choke. He defeated his next two opponents via decision in Guybson Sa and Rich Lictawa. In his debut appearance with Bellator MMA at Bellator 33, Carpenter defeated Jamal Patterson via split decision. He also defeated Daniel Gracie via split decision in his second outing with Bellator MMA at Bellator 38. At Bellator 54 Carpenter defeated Ryan Contaldi via TKO in the first round to earn his first and only knockout victory during his professional career. In his next appearance with Bellator MMA at Bellator 71, he submitted Beau Tribolet via armbar in the second round. The win also earned Carpenter the fourth submission victory of his professional career. Whether it winds up on the ground or is a stand up battle, be prepared for this eastern quaker to rain down some lethal fire and brimstone if you are deemed unworthy of a rite of passage into this lion’s den from its humble beginnings Bellator MMA’s light heavyweight ranks have withstood the sands of time only to emerge even stronger than before!
