BRAVE Combat Federation announced this Wednesday a flyweight bout to its upcoming London fight card, on July 25. Iraqi-born, UK-based Amir Albazi will be taking on SBG Ireland’s Blaine O’Driscoll, a newcomer to the promotion.
Albazi is trying to bounce back from his first professional loss, suffered on his BRAVE CF debut against the two-time IMMAF Amateur World Champion José “Shorty” Torres, in a very close contest last April, in Jordan.
With 11 wins and only one loss under his belt, “The Prince” Albazi will be fighting at home. Training at London Shootfighters, alongside the likes of Michael “MVP” Page and James Thompson, will be returning to his town of residence after being part of the Bellator 200 card, in 2018.
The 27-year-old Blaine O’Driscoll brings to the table a 7-2 professional record, being currently on a 2-win streak, both via submission. After a long run in the UK-Irish circuit, competing for the main banners in both countries, O’Driscoll now joins his SBG teammate Cian Cowley at the global stage, signing with BRAVE CF.
BRAVE 24 is set to take place on July 25th, at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, inside the Copper Box Arena. The luxurious invite-only event will connect the biggest influencers, politicians, and sportsmen to mixed martial arts and is set to empower the sport in the continent of Europe. In the main event of the evening, BRAVE Featherweight world champion Bubba Jenkins puts his title on the line against the former Lightweight kingpin Lucas “Mineiro” Martins.
