Women taking up MMA can be a tremendous source of empowerment to power through life’s rough patches. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a natural force of nature ready to blow the house down at Invicta FC 36 on August 9 live on UFC Fight Pass. A professional since July 2017 and representing Precision MMA, Lindsey VanZandt owns a 6-1 record in seven career bouts as a professional comprised of four knockouts, one submission and one decision. VanZandt has competed with Bellator MMA, King of the Cage and Invicta Fighting Championships. She has managed to earn a finish in five of her six victories as a professional.
In her MMA debut at King of the Cage Regulator, VanZandt faced Katie Saul and defeated her via TKO in the second round. She also defeated Rachel Sazoff via TKO in round two at Maverick MMA 3. Then at King of the Cage Locked In, VanZandt faced Bi Nguyen and defeated her via split decision to earn her first decision win as a professional. In her final appearance with King of the Cage at KOTC New Frontier, she defeated Melissa Karagiannis in the second round. In her debut appearance with Bellator MMA at Bellator 215, VanZandt faced Tabatha Watkins and defeated her via TKO in the second round to earn her first win under the Bellator MMA banner. The win also earned her the fourth knockout victory of her professional career. For her second and final outing with Bellator MMA at Bellator 222 in New York City at Madison Square Garden she faced Japan’s Rena Kubota and tapped her out in the first round via rear naked choke to secure back to back victories with Bellator MMA and also picked up the first submission victory of her professional career in the process.
In her second appearance with Invicta Fighting Championships at Invicta FC 36 on August 9 live on UFC Fight Pass, VanZandt will face Jessica Delboni in an atomweight affair. Good luck Lindsey!
