Many fighters have put their head to the grindstone on the local circuit before being picked up by the big leagues. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to an iron-jawed gator looking to take a big bite out of Bellator’s MMA’S welterweight ranks at Bellator 231 on October 25 live on Paramount Network. A professional since April 2012 and representing Hard Knocks 365, Jason Jackson owns a 10-3 record in 13 career bouts as a professional comprised of four knockouts, three submissions and three decisions. Jackson has competed with various promotions including Legacy Fighting Alliance, Titan FC and Bellator MMA. He has gone on to finish seven of his 10 professional victories. Jackson also appeared on The Ultimate Fighter season 21 in 2015 and week three of season one of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2017.

In his MMA debut, he faced Jerome Buchanan and defeated him via TKO in round one. Jackson also defeated his next two foes in Michael Johnson and Efrain Cintron. He defeated Michael Lilly via unanimous decision at Fight Time 20. In 2015, Jackson appeared on The Ultimate Fighter season 21 and defeated Marcelo Alflaya via majority decision on the sixth episode of the season. Then at Victory FC 48, he defeated Victor Moreno via TKO in the first round. Jackson defeated Rodrigo Cavalheiro Correia at Titan FC 41 via unanimous decision. He also defeated Dhiego Lima via TKO in the first round at Titan FC 42. At Bellator 204 Jackson defeated Jordan Larson via TKO in round one. For his debut outing with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 64, he tapped out Scott Futrell in the second round via arm-triangle choke. Jackson defeated Hermerson De Souza in the headliner of LFA 71 via split decision.

In his second appearance for Bellator MMA at Bellator 231 on October 25, he will face Ed Ruth in a clash at welterweight. Good luck Jason!
