A professional since March 2017 and representing American Top Team Portland, Austin Vanderford owns an undefeated 9-0 record comprised of three submissions, three knockouts and three decisions. Vanderford is currently 3-0 under the banner of Bellator MMA and has gone on to finish six of his nine professional victories. He also appeared on week five in the second season of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2018.

In his MMA debut at Prime Fighting 9, Vanderford faced Sol Renato and went on to defeat him via TKO in round one. He also defeated his next two opponents in Ben Frodor and Adam Fugitt. Vanderford tapped out Kenny Licea in the second round via rear-naked choke at VFC 59. He also submitted Angelo Trevino via rear-naked choke in round two at DWTNCS five. Then at FFC 32 Vanderford faced Brazil’s Edmilson Freitas and knocked him out in the first round.

in his debut appearance with Bellator MMA at Bellator 215, he took on Cody Jones and submitted him via arm-triangle choke in the first round. Vanderford also defeated Joseph Creer via TKO in the second round at Bellator 225. At Bellator 234 he faced Russian submission specialist Grachik Bozinyan and defeated him via unanimous decision to make it three wins in a row with Bellator MMA. With a perfect nine for nine starts to his career as a professional and ever-evolving MMA arsenal, Vanderford is showing the whole MMA world that fighters can still be gentlemen and throw down!
