A professional mixed martial artist since January 2016 and representing Gracie Barra Woodlands, Jake Heffernan owns a 7-2 professional record in nine bouts comprised of four decisions, two submissions and one knockout. Prior to debuting in Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 43 in June 2018, Heffernan fought for multiple regional MMA promotions in Texas including Fury Fighting Championship. Four of Heffernan’s seven victories as a pro-MMA fighter have lasted the entire 15 minutes with three of the seven wins ending in a finish so far in his tenure as a pro-MMA fighter.

In his MMA debut at Fury Fighting 9, he submittedΒ Adonis SaucedoΒ via rear-naked choke in the second round. Heffernan defeatedΒ James GonzalezΒ at Fury Fighting 11 via TKO in round one to pick up the only knockout win thus far in his career as a pro. Then at Fury Fighting Championship 12, he facedΒ Carlos MelaraΒ and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision. Heffernan also defeated his next two opponents via decision in Shaeem Richardson and Collin Wright. He tapped out Derek Brenon in the second round via rear-naked choke to pick up his second submission win as a professional.

For his debut outing under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner at LFA 43, Heffernan took onΒ Peter StanonikΒ and defeated him via unanimous decision. The win earned Heffernan the fourth decision victory of his professional career along with his first win under the LFA banner.
