Salah Ayuby 1-0-0 is an English amateur Mixed Martial Artist, currently competing in the Bantamweight Division. Representing Reps MMA Preston. An amateur competitor since July this year, he has competed for UKFC and is due for his second appearance  in the cage at Evolution Of Combat 9.

I’d like to start this off by thanking you for taking the time to speak to me today. How is training going in the build-up to your debut for EOC?

“Thank you, my training is good as expected, I’m following my coach’s advice and my diet is all good. My build-up is on schedule. I visualise the fight in my mind, a knockout or submission, with the heavy tools that I carry.”

“I have seriously trained not just now but since the age of 5. Images of me, you can see on my Facebook profile. I don’t have any hobbies nor any involvement in anything other than my love for the sport of MMA.”

An impressive first outing for you at UKFC, fighting with such professionalism. Your show of skill looked 5 years your senior in Preston, back in July. How did it feel to come away with the W at the start of your amateur career?

“My win felt so fabulous, it definitely put confidence in me and I can only say I will improve as I train/fight.”

Evolution Of Combat is a fantastic organisation to be a part of. With a huge array of fighters being added to the cards from all over the world. How does it feel to be a part of the Scottish based organisation?

“I’m feeling good to fight in Scotland and to fight for the Evolution of Combat. It’s always a pleasure to come to Scotland.”

September 11th will be the organisation’s ninth out of ten confirmed shows this year. With the inclusion of new talent like Salah and returning fighters like Yusuf Kurt, looking to push for 2nd win at the start of their careers. The amateur bouts will be just as explosive as the pros, this I can guarantee.

Your opponent will be Ellis Pilkington. Have you studied him much in the build-up to your highly anticipated second amateur bout?

“My thoughts on my opponent are nil. I hardly know him. I don’t know his fighting style or his skills. I have not had the time as I have been more focused on my own training. I can only say that I have trained hard constantly in my camp and I’m ready and prepared to challenge my opponent with the skills that he brings to me on Saturday. My message to my opponent is thank you for taking the fight with me and I’m looking forward to seeing you.”

I look forward to seeing you in action mate. Last, but not least, do you have a message for the fans that are going to be in attendance in Glasgow and anybody you’d like to give a shout out to?

“I’m thankful to my parents for the person that I am today. Taking me training for classes continuously from the age of 5. Even now that I’m 17 yrs old they are bringing me from Blackpool to Preston, on a daily basis after work. thanks to Pitbull West Coast for sponsoring me, Andrew Naylor for his strength and conditioning training and Steve Knightingale my Head Instructor for his tremendous support and Conner Hitchens and Jordan Chester.”
