CW134 is set to be an explosive night at the Indigo at the O2 on March 18th. With fighters making the finishing touches to their exceptional fight camps to showcase exactly what they’ve been working on these past few months. Brad Pickett’s GBTT will have many warriors taking centre stage at one of the biggest stages outside of the UFC that night.
I travelled down to GBTT to catch up with Nik Bagley, to pick his brain on his upcoming inclusion on the CW134 card. And gain some insight into what impact he will have for his next step on the professional circuit.
I’d like to start this off by thanking you for taking the time to speak to me today Nik, from what I’ve seen training is going well.
“Yeah man, it’s going well. Thank you for taking your time out to come and interview me.”
I’d also like to congratulate you on your recent fight announcement with Cage Warriors, how does it feel to be part of what is set to be an explosive night at the Indigo at the O2 on March 19th?
“Yeah, I’m very excited. My teammate Nathaniel Wood had a historic fight there against another Welshman, history’s going to repeat itself. London vs Wales, London will come out victorious.”
Last we saw you in action was back in 2021 on the first bullet fired from Cage Warriors Double Trouble, CW131. This submissive victory over Scott Pedersen gave CW all they needed to bring you back in the mix and try to make it 3 out of 3 outings for the London based organisation. What did you take from that RNC victory in December?
“Just reassurance in my training. I’m doing the right thing, putting the right work in and the work is paying off. It just shows me that I’m on the right track, doing the right things.”
In just over 3 weeks you take on The Mat Academy’s Ben Ellis, with training Camp reaching its end, in regards to your opponent have you done anything in the way of research on Ben before your showdown at CW134.
“Yeah, I’ve looked him up, watched his fights. It’s just another body.”
As previously stated this being your 3rd appearance for CW across your exceptional pro career so far, is a perfect compliment to yourself and the GBTT. How does it feel to be part of one of the biggest and most active Gyms in the county?
“Feels great. I absolutely love It, I have everything I need here and of course, world Class teammates. It’s not easy, but at the same time it’s exactly what I need and it’s essential for the progression of my career, it’s great.”
Many of your teammates will be joining you on your trip to London on March 18th, other than your inclusion on the night, are there any matchups in particular that you’re looking forward to witnessing?
“Literally just my teammates are the only match-ups I care about. Just myself and my team, no one else.”
Last but not least do you have a message for the fans that will be in attendance and anybody you’d like to give a shout-out to?
“Just keep an eye out, It’s going to be an explosive performance. I’ll put on a show for everyone in attendance and everyone else watching online. Shout-out to my teammates, GB Top Team, my coach Brad, Ash and Barry. Also my sponsors Vigorate and all my friends and family, everyone that’s supported me on this journey.”
