In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a cougar of crushing strength ready to take the competition on a vivid and memorable ride on the wild side at Invicta FC 48 on July 20 as the promotion makes its Rocky Mountain debut. A professional mixed martial artist since April 2021 and representing Jackson-Wink MMA, Melissa Odessa Parker holds a 3-1 record through four professional bouts comprised of two submissions and one decision. Parker has fought for several promotions over the course of her journey as a pro-MMA fighter so far including Fury Fighting Championship and Legacy Fighting Alliance. She has finished two out of her three victories during her time in the professional ranks. Each of Parker’s finishes during her pro career have come inside the third round, with times of two minutes and 56 seconds and one minute and 48 seconds respectively. She has gone to the scorecards a single time over the course of her career as a professional mixed martial artist thus far.

At VFL Cajuns versus Cowboys 2, she faced Kendal Holowell and went on to defeat her via a split decision. Parker submitted Itzel Esquivel via rear-naked choke in the third round in her promotional debut with Fury Fighting Championship at Fury FC 54. Then, at Fury FC 59, she tapped out Celine Haga in round three via rear-naked choke. The victory earned Parker the second submission win of her professional career. She also picked up back to back wins under the Fury FC banner in the process.

For her debut outing with Invicta Fighting Championships at Invicta FC 48 on July 20, she will take on Isis Verbeek in a strawweight encounter. Good luck Melissa!
