Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, father and long term coach of Khabib Nurmagomedov, has said his son is willing to fight Tony Ferguson in order to cement his place at a lightweight title.  Newly crowned lightweight champion, Conor McGregor is expected to take a break from fighting until May 2017 due to the birth of his child, but Khabib Nurmagomedov does not plan on any breaks. Speaking to MMANews.info, Nurmagomedov said –

“We will not wait longer than 3 months. We’ll wait for 3 months and at the 4th, we need an opponent. Let them give us any opponent. Even at 77kgs”

“At this moment, it is better to fight with Ferguson — just to nail this thing down.”
