He has a single second-round finish under his belt in his lone appearance as a professional mixed martial artist with a finish rate of 100 percent to show for it. Ward has never gone to the scorecards at any juncture over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter and has spent his entire professional career in his home nation of Ireland. He has fought for Premier MMA. Ward also fought for several promotions as an amateur prior to turning professional in 2023 including Cage Legacy and Akuma Fighting Championship.
In his professional MMA debut in the co-main event of Premier MMA 1, he faced Marian Matei and went on to defeat him in the second round. The victory scored Ward the first knockout win of his professional career in addition to his only finish as a professional thus far.
