Throughout recent events in Cage Warriors, the MMA Fight Academy in California is quickly becoming the promotion’s latest revenue earner that beginning to bloom like the Spring flowers before our eyes begin to waken. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet the latest academy formula flasher ready to cast a pall over Scottish skies with Cage Warriors 171 right around the corner from Braehead Arena on April 20. A professional mixed martial artist since December 2022 and representing MMA Fight Academy, Cornellius Aritonang holds a 3-0 record comprised of one knockout, one submission and one decision. Each of Aritonang’s finishes during his career as a professional MMA fighter has been inside two rounds. He is 2-0 under the Cage Warriors banner with a single finish in two appearances with the promotion under his belt to show for it. Aritonang has spent the majority of his career as a professional mixed martial artist with Cage Warriors. He has gone to the scorecards once during his professional career sweeping them clean across the board on that only occasion.
In his professional MMA debut at One Pride MMA fight night 65 Pride Of Throne, he submitted Iehzer Sem Matthieu via rear-naked choke in round one. Aeitonang defeated Gianluca Ancora via unanimous decision in his promotional debut with Cage Warriors on the preliminary card of Cage Warriors 154. Then in his second outing with Cage Warriors on the preliminary card of Cage Warriors 164, he defeated Matthieu Moya via TKO in the second round. The win secured Aritonang the first knockout victory of his professional career in addition to back-to-back victories under the Cage Warriors banner. He also picked up his third win overall as a professional in the process.
On April 20 at Cage Warriors 171, he will take on Thomas Hepburn in an affair at featherweight. Good luck Cornellius!
