Decorated amateurs often reap greater rewards when they continue to face everything that is placed in front of them with practiced grace on their way to becoming successful professional athletes. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet the latest lioness of the clan’s coat of arms ready for her royal coronation moment as PFL Europe’s newest signee for their Scottish debut at the Hydro. An Amateur mixed martial artist since June 2023 and representing Ayrshire Hit Squad under Neil Laird, Gemma Auld owns an undefeated 6-0 record comprised of three submissions, one knockout and two decisions. She has fought for several promotions during her Amateur career including Cage Warriors Academy Southeast. Auld has finished four out of her six victories overall over the course of her career as an Amateur MMA fighter. She has spent the majority of her Amateur career in her home nation of Scotland. All of Auld’s finishes have been before the final bell.
In her Amateur MMA debut at Goliath Fight Series 4, she faced Ellen Egan and tapped her out in round one. Auld also submitted Caroline Plumley via armbar in the first round at Holytown Havoc 3. Then at BFC 4, she defeated Jess Catalaugh via unanimous decision. Auld defeated Chloe Crozier at Goliath Fight Series 5 via unanimous decision to secure her second decision win as an amateur. She defeated Amy Derwanz via TKO in round five at Bad Mofo 8 to score her first and only knockout win as an amateur.
At Cage Warriors Academy Southeast 34, Auld submitted Camilla Bergstrom in the third round via rear-naked choke. The win earned Auld the third submission victory of her amateur career along with her sixth consecutive win. As she journeys into professional waters for the first time, Auld will do whatever it takes to ensure the home throne remains under lock and key in the hands of the faithful!
