Kickboxers taking over MMA has been the trend for some time and now, one of the biggest kickboxing superstars in the world Nabil Haryouli is planning to do just that as he prepares to step inside the MMA cage at BRAVE CF 87 on September 22 in the Netherlands.
Known as the ‘Mike Tyson’ of Kickboxing, Nabil’s journey into combat sports started at a very young age. Originally from Morocco, he broke into the Dutch national boxing team at the age of 13 with just three months of training and travelled around Europe, competing, and representing the nation. But what changed the life of Nabil was his transition to kickboxing.
He took up the sport after his older brother opened a kickboxing school and the rest, as they say, is history. Nabil quickly rose as one of the biggest kickboxers in the world with fans even comparing him to the legendary Mike Tyson due to his style. After his immense success in kickboxing, transitioning into MMA was a natural progression for Nabil.
He pulled the trigger on MMA during the COVID-19 pandemic and has been unstoppable since. So far, Nabil has had four MMA fights, finishing all four of his opponents in the first round. Now, he is going to have a major step up in competition as he enters the BRAVE Combat Federation cage at BRAVE CF 87 to take on Afghan wrestling champion Zabiullah Mubarez who is bound to put the MMA skills of Nabil to test.
Taking over MMA just like he took over Kickboxing has been one of the goals of Nabil and he cannot ask for a better platform than BRAVE Combat Federation for this. BRAVE CF is currently the most hosted MMA organization in the World and features the top MMA Fighters, making it the ideal home for Nabil to continue his MMA career.
However, before he can cement his spot on the BRAVE CF roster, Nabil will have to overcome the challenge posed by Zabiullah Mubarez at BRAVE CF 87 and show to the world that he is not just a kickboxer turned MMA fighter but someone who belongs inside the MMA cage.
BRAVE CF 87 will be held in association with Enfusion’s ECE MMA and will be the seventh event of the year for BRAVE Combat Federation. This will also be the second event of the year in the Netherlands for the organization, underlining its commitment towards the growth of MMA in the country.
