In his professional MMA debut at XKO 36, he faced Dylan Ashburn and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision. Freeman knocked out Carlton Lofton in round one. Then at AKA Rite Of Passage 6, he submitted Devonaire Jones via rear-naked choke in the second round. Freeman defeated Fernie Garcia via a split decision at LFA 62. He tapped out Eddie Torres in round two via brabo choke at Rocks Xtreme MMA 26. Freeman submitted Collin Wright via rear-naked choke in round one at AKA Rite Of Passage 13. He tapped out Jonathan Eiland via anaconda choke in the first round at AKA Rite Of Passage 15. At Fury FC 101, Freeman submitted Shane Torres in the first round via brabo choke. He tapped out Kyle Todrank via anaconda choke in round two on the main card of Fury FC 103. At Fury FC Challenger Series 13 he submitted Josh Motsinger via kneebar in round one. The win notched Freeman the seventh submission victory of his professional career. He also earned his 10th win inside the professional ranks in the process.
