He has fought for various promotions throughout his journey as a professional MMA fighter including Bellator MMA. Costello has finished three out of his five overall victories during his professional career. Both of his decision wins have resulted in unanimous verdicts. All three of Costello’s finishes have been inside of two rounds.

At CFC Malta 8, he faced Martin Antevski and went on to defeat him via technical knockout in the first round. Costello submitted Rade Novakovic at CFC Malta 9 via rear-naked choke in round one to score his only submission win as a professional. He defeated Joliver Allan Mougang via unanimous decision. Then at Combate Global Ireland versus Mexico, Costello defeated Orvido Bojorquez via unanimous decision to secure his second decision win as a professional. He defeated Alexander Mikael Viana via TKO in round two at Fight 2 One 6. The win earned Costello the second knockout victory of his professional career. He also notched his fifth win as a professional mixed martial artist in the process.

For his promotional debut under the Cage Warriors banner on September 27 at Cage Warriors 194, he will square off against Manuel Del Valle of Spain in a Welterweight tilt. Good luck Stephen!
