Whether Conor McGregor will return to the UFC is still a million-dollar question. But recently, signs of a comeback have sparked fan interest after he shared training clips on social media and confirmed his entry into the UFC’s drug testing pool.
Though he has yet to reveal his official fight plan, McGregor is undergoing a serious anti-doping routine. He recently gave fans a glimpse of the process by welcoming a UFC drug test official aboard his multi-million dollar Lamborghini yacht.
Conor McGregor Gets Another UFC Drug Test on His Million-Dollar Yacht
McGregor has made drug testing part of his social media content, regularly posting about visits from the UFC drug testing team. But this time, he did the best to flex as the 37-year-old literally welcomed them onto his yacht.
If he hadn’t shared the moment on his Instagram story, we probably would have seen thousands of reactions from fans about this unusual location. Instead of the usual hotel room or home visit, he turned his drug test into a unique maritime experience and only McGregor could pull this off.
“Another day. Another [UFC] tester aboard my yacht! #CleanSport,” McGregor wrote on one of his Instagram stories. It was a short clip where we barely see the face of the drug tester, but the Notorious showed us enough footage to understand that there was only one official getting ready to collect McGregor’s sample while floating in open water.

Fans are used to seeing him entertaining guests and partying on his yacht, but now he’s apparently conducting UFC business aboard the craft. The short Instagram story, which will vanish after 24 hours, has two sides.
One is his lavish lifestyle, obviously, which is nothing new to the community. The other is the excitement of seeing the former champion potentially return to action. It suggests that this time he has taken the process seriously, unlike in the past.
Even though he is undergoing tests consistently, even in unconventional settings like on his yacht, some will still doubt his return inside the cage.
Doubts Remain Over Conor McGregor’s UFC Return
Despite regular drug testing and social media hints, a ton of questions exist regarding when McGregor will actually fight again.
The 37-year-old hasn’t competed since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier in July 2021. During this period, some legal troubles have complicated his return timeline. A moment came when almost every UFC fan gave up their hopes.
Even Dana White has learned to be skeptical of McGregor’s return promises, as the UFC always has doubts about his genuine intentions. The only hope both fans and White have in mind is perhaps the White House Card; next year, McGregor will return to the octagon.
Meanwhile, outside the UFC, there is a strong possibility of seeing him in BKFC, which he co-owns. President David Feldman recently said, “It’s the best McGregor I’ve ever seen. He’s training hard, and he’s focused because one of you two guys [Stephens and Perry] is probably his next fight.”
