In Mixed Martial Arts, the teammates and coaches a fighter has around them is essential to their mindset and overall success.  In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a gritty Southwest MMA fixture whose strategic style and ability to adapt in tough situations make her one of New Mexico’s leading ladies.   A professional since April 2011 and representing Jackson-Wink MMA under world class MMA coaches Greg Jackson and Mike Winklejohn in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 30 year old Jodie Esquibel owns a 5-2 record in seven career bouts consisting of four decisions and one knockout. In her MMA debut, Jodie defeated Brittany Horton via TKO in the first round. Then she defeated Amy Riehle via unanimous decision. At Invicta FC 4, Jodie defeated Liz McCarthy via split decision. Esquibel picked up consecutive decision victories over Jinh Yu Frey at Invicta FC 8 and Nicdali Rivera-Calanoc at Invicta FC 9 respectively. She will now face DeAnna Bennett at Invicta FC 21 on January 14. Good luck Jodie!

The popularity of Women’s MMA has grown exponentially with the rapid rise of Invicta FC. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a fiery fighter looking to make an emphatic statement at Invicta FC 21 on January 14. A professional since September 2014 and representing Karate Mafia, 27 year old Andrea Lee owns a 4-2 record in six career bouts consisting of two submissions, one knockout and one decision. In her MMA debut, Andrea defeated Kim Colbert via TKO in the first round. At Invicta FC 9 she defeated Shannon Sinn via unanimous decision. Then, Andrea submitted Rachael Ostovich via armbar in round three at Invicta FC 14. She also tapped out Ariel Beck in the third round via armbar at Legacy FC 49. Andrea will now face Jenny Liou at Invicta FC 21 on January 14, 2017. Good luck Andrea!
