Tickets for Bellator London: Mousasi vs. Lovato Jr go on sale tomorrow, Bungard vs Leary announced
Tickets to see leading mixed martial arts promotion Bellator MMA returns to London go on sale tomorrow, Friday, April 5 at 9 a.m. BST. Bellator London: Mousasi vs. Lovato Jr. takes place on Saturday, June 22, at The SSE Arena, Wembley, with what promises to be the most stacked MMA card ever seen in the UK. Headlining the event is a middleweight five-round title bout between current Bellator champion Gegard Mousasi (45-6-2) and the undefeated Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace Rafael Lovato Jr. (9-0). The two were in London this week, alongside Bellator President Scott Coker, as the promotion held a press conference at the iconic ODEON Luxe Leicester Square. Having announced last week that James “The Strabanimal” Gallagher (8-1) and Paul “Semtex” Daley (40-17-2) will appear on the main card, Bellator unveiled their respective opponents at Tuesday’s press conference. Gallagher will face California’s Jeremiah “The Kid” Labiano (12-6) in a 140-pound catchweight affair, whilst Daley announced he will take on Brazilian MMA veteran Erick “The Tiger” Silva (20-10, 1 NC) at welterweight. With Gallagher declaring that Bellator London is “The Jimmy Show”, his clash with Labiano is set to produce fireworks. Labiano has won three of his last four bouts and is coming off arguably the most impressive win of his professional career, having dispatched Justin Smitley with a first-round TKO at Bellator 206. Labiano is an unpredictable fighter with a varied skillset, having secured an equal number of wins via KO/TKO, submission and decision. Daley meanwhile is looking to return to winning ways following a close contest in his grudge match with Michael “Venom” Page in February, while Silva clashed with Yaroslav Amosov in his last time out on the same card. Both known for their explosive styles, Daley for his knockout power and Silva for his submission skills – fans can undoubtedly expect a nonstop battle between these two athletes when they meet on June 22. Additionally, Newcastle’s own and Geordie Shore-reality TV star Aaron “The Joker” Chalmers (4-1) is expected to compete on the card, while current Bellator Kickboxing women’s flyweight champion Denise “Miss Dynamite” Kielholtz (2-2) returns to the MMA cage looking to find similar success as a two-sport athlete. Bellator president Scott Coker also revealed that Bellator London: Mousasi vs. Lovato Jr. will be a dual-broadcast event, with Sky Sports and Channel 5 sharing the live broadcast rights on the night. Sky Sports will broadcast live between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. BST with the Channel 5 broadcast on air live between 10 p.m. and 12 a.m. BST. Paramount Network and DAZN are scheduled to air the event in the U.S. Tickets to Bellator London: Mousasi vs. Lovato Jr. go on sale Friday, April 5 at 9 a.m. BST, with a pre-sale taking place Thursday, April 4 at 9 a.m. BST, and can be purchased online from axs.com/uk and Bellator.com.
