Conor McGregor made history on Saturday at UFC 205 in New York by becoming the first fighter in UFC history to hold two titles at the same time. After months of speculation, UFC today announced its much anticipated return to London, England. The event will take place at The O2 in London on Saturday, March 18, 2017. Following a hugely successful event in February 2016 – UFC FIGHT NIGHT: SILVA vs. BISPING, which sold out in just 27 minutes – the organisation has confirmed that it will return to the English capital for a second consecutive year. No fewer than five UFC events have been hosted in Europe this year, with a sixth set to take place in Belfast, Northern Ireland on November 19. Two of those six events took place in the UK, as UFC’s fan base continues to grow at a phenomenal rate in the region.
