A Dealer of Justice featuring UFC fighter Dan Moret

When a fighter makes the walk to the octagon for the very first time, a myriad of factors can assist them in embracing the calm before the storm. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a southwestern enforcer looking to dole out swift justice at UFC On ESPN Plus 4 on March 9. A professional since February 2012 and representing The MMA Lab, Dan Moret holds a 13-4 record in 17 career bouts as a professional comprised of eight submissions, four decisions and one knockout. Prior to making his debut with the UFC in 2018, Moret competed with various promotions including Legacy Fighting Alliance.

In his MMA debut, he defeated John Milledge. Moret also defeated his next two opponents in Damien Hill and Starr Roberts Jr. Then at Driller Promotions Caged Chaos at Canterbury Park 2, he defeated Stephen Watt via unanimous decision. Moret also defeated Jose Pacheco via unanimous decision at RFA 8. He defeated Pacheco a second time via submission in round two at Driller Promotions Caged Chaos at Canterbury Park 4. At RFA 19, Moret submitted Jordan Griffin via rear naked choke in the first round. He also tapped out his next two opponents in Jay Ellis in round one via triangle choke at KOTC Power Surge and Mike Plazola via guillotine choke in round two at Driller Promotions Mecca 7. Moret defeated Josh Wick via unanimous decision at RFA 36. He also defeated Alex Gilpin via split decision at RFA 40. In his only appearance with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 15, Moret submitted Derrick Adkins in round three via arm triangle choke. At Victory Fighting Championship 59 he tapped out Alonzo Martinez via rear naked choke in the first round. The victory also earned Moret his eighth submission win as a professional.

In his second outing for the UFC at UFC On ESPN Plus 4 on March 9, Moret will face Alex White in a lightweight encounter. With eight of his 13 professional victories ending in a tap out, Moret is one of those fighters where a tactical error could cost you dearly if he ensnares you in a submission. Good luck Dan!
