Many a fighter’s life has taken a turn for the better in the first three seasons of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a hungry howler looking to usher in the era of the wolf at UFC On ESPN 6 from TD Garden in the UFC‘S return to Boston on October 18 live on ESPN. A professional since September 2016 and representing Wolve’s Den Training Center, Sean Woodson owns an undefeated 6-0 record comprised of three decisions, two knockouts and one submission. Woodson earned a contract with the UFC on week five of season three of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2019 and has also competed with RFA and Shamrock FC. Out of the six wins in his professional career thus far he has gone on to finish three of them.
In his MMA debut at RFA 44, Woodson faced Kevin Brown jr and went on to submit him in the first round. At Shamrock FC 283 he defeated Coltin Cole via TKO in round one. Then at Shamrock FC 290, Woodson faced Rashard Lovelace and defeated him via unanimous decision. He also defeated Seth Basler at Shamrock FC 295 via unanimous decision. Woodson defeated Lovelace for the second time via unanimous decision at Shamrock FC 311 to pick up his third decision win as a professional.
At Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series 5, he faced Terrance McKinney and went on to defeat him via TKO in the second round to earn a contract with the UFC. The victory also earned Woodson the second knockout win of his professional career and also extended his undefeated streak to six to begin his professional career in the process. For his debut appearance with the UFC at UFC On ESPN 6 on October 18 Woodson will face Kyle Bochniak in a featherweight battle. Good luck Sean!
