A true test for the alumni of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series is measured by how well he rises to the occasion after the ink dries on a UFC contract. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a blue-blooded battle hawk of the Carolinas looking to soar like a streaking star and continue his torrid assault on the UFC lightweight division. A professional mixed martial artist since October 2016 and representing Salty Dog BJJ and Gym O, Joe Solecki owns a 9-2 record as a professional in 11 bouts comprised of six submissions, one knockout, and two decisions. Prior to making his debut in the UFC at UFC On ESPN 7 in December 2019, Solecki fought for CFFC. He has finished seven of his nine wins thus far in his tenure as a pro-MMA fighter and has only gone to the judge’s scorecards twice. The majority of Solecki’s wins as a pro-MMA fighter have come before the end of the first round.

In his MMA debut at CFFC 61, he submitted Chris Rollins via rear-naked choke in the first round. Solecki also tapped out Andrew Cherico at CFFC 62 and Kevin Perez at CFFC 63 respectively. He defeated Eric Calderon via TKO in round one at Warfare MMA 16. Then at CFFC 69, Solecki submitted Johnson Jajoute in the first round via rear-naked choke. He tapped out Gilbert Patrocinio via triangle choke in round one at ROC 66. At CFFC 73 Solecki defeated Jacob Bohn via unanimous decision. In the main event of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series on episode three of season three He submitted James Wallace in the first round to pick up his sixth submission win as a professional along with a UFC contract.

At UFC On ESPN 7, Solecki faced Matt Wiman and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision. The win earned Solecki the second decision victory of his professional career along with his first win in the UFC. With a keen sense for the finish, this hawk of the sea gives opponents a deep dive of a drenching!
