Across The Pond Profile: Legacy Fighting Alliance fighter Fabio Cherant

Throughout their three-season run, promotions from all across the United States and beyond have been thrown a rope thanks to an appearance on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet an anaconda of the winter cold whose ruthless ground blitz has left light heavyweights frozen with fear stamped upon their faces. A professional mixed martial artist since February 2018 and representing Tri-Force MMA and Lauzon MMA, Fabio Cherant owns a 5-1 record in six professional bouts with all five of his victories as a pro-MMA fighter coming via submission. Prior to debuting under the LFA banner in July 2020 at LFA 86, Cherant fought for CES MMA. He also appeared on week six during the third season of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2019. The bulk of Cherant’s wins as a pro have come within the opening round with only one making it into round two. Cherant has finished all five of his wins thus far in his tenure as a professional mixed martial artist and has yet to see the scorecards in his career. He is currently 1-0 under the banner of Legacy Fighting Alliance.

In his MMA debut at CES MMA 48, he submitted James Dysard in the first round. Cherant also tapped out Marquis Allen in round one at CES MMA 50. Then at CES MMA 51, he tapped out Buck Pineau in the first round via rear-naked choke. For his final outing with CES MMA at CES MMA 53, he submitted Ron Marshall via rear-naked choke in the second round.

In his promotional debut appearance with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 86, he faced Erick Murray and went on to submit him in the first round via anaconda choke. The win earned Cherant the fifth submission victory of his professional career along with his first win under the LFA banner. If a fight winds up on the ground,  this buffalo of thunder will spark an electric charge!
