Across The Pond Profile: Bellator MMA fighter Ben Parrish

Underdogs have been known to shock the MMA world on any given night. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a Delta kingfisher ready to cause a southern mudslide of earthquake proportions in Bellator MMA’s light heavyweight division as the promotion’s newest bulldozer of brute strength. A professional mixed martial artist since November 2016 and representing Doom Crew, Ben Parrish owns a 5-1 record through six professional bouts comprised of four submissions and one knockout. Parrish fought for Summitt Fighting Championships, a regional MMA promotion based in his home state of Mississippi before making his promotional debut with Bellator MMA in September 2021 at Bellator 266. He has finished all five of his wins during his career in the professional ranks, with four first-round finishes under his belt. Parrish is currently 1-0 under the banner of Bellator MMA. The majority of Parrish’s wins during his pro career have come before the close of the opening round. He has yet to reach the scorecards at any point of his career so far.

in his MMA debut, he faced Dameon Melton and went on to tap him out via armbar in the first round. Parrish also submitted Linc Battle in round two via armbar at Summit Fighting Championships Tupelo. Then at Summit Fighting Championships 31, he tapped out Jordan Fowler in the first round via rear-naked choke. Parrish submitted Teddy Holder via rear-naked choke in round one at Summit Fighting Championships 32 to pick up his fourth submission victory as a professional.

In his promotional debut with Bellator MMA at Bellator 266, he knocked out Christian Edwards in the first round. The victory earned Parrish the first knockout win of his professional career. He also picked up victory number one under the banner of Bellator MMA in the process. If this shark smells blood in the water, opponents are in mortal peril!
