Across The Pond Profile: Brock Smith

A fighter with a no-quit work ethic is one that fans can root for even through the toughest of times. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a midwestern scythe of blood ready to cleave the competition in half with serious ground magic. A professional mixed martial artist since June 2017 and representing Trials MMA, Brock Smith owns a 4-2 record through six professional bouts comprised of three submissions and one decision. Smith has fought for several promotions over the course of his journey thus far as a pro-MMA fighter including Legacy Fighting Alliance and has finished 75 percent of his victories during his time in the professional MMA ranks so far. He has only gone to the scorecards a single time during his career as a professional mixed martial artist, sweeping them across the board in that instance. The bulk of Smith’s wins during his pro career have come within three rounds. with one first-round finish under his belt. He has also fought for Dynasty Combat Sports, a regional MMA promotion based in his home state of Nebraska.

In his MMA debut at LCS 25, he took on Billy Martin and submitted him in the third round via rear-naked choke. Smith also tapped out Justin Smith via arm-triangle choke in round two at DCS 44 Ballyard Brawl night 1. Then in his promotional debut with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 48, he defeated Joe Boershig via unanimous decision to earn his first and only decision win as a professional. Smith submitted Zach McGuire in the first round via anaconda choke at DCS 74. The victory earned Smith the third submission win of his professional career. He also picked up his first round one finish in the process. At 4-2 with a finish rate of 75 percent, Smith is one scythe who mows opponents like a reaper churning through a field of crops!
