DC VS GUS – AN EPIC FIGHT STARING US IN THE FACE

With Daniel Cormier having recently suffered his first defeat at the hands of champ Jon “Bones” Jones, and Alexander Gustafsson’s TKO loss to Anthony “Rumble” Johnson this month have paved the path for a killer fight that is staring us right in the face. What better way to keep the 205 division moving by pairing up #2 and #3 ranked DC and Gustafsson? Not only is it a logical match to make, but it sets up a fantastic rematch regardless of who wins.

Even more interesting, what if “Rumble” Johnson dethrones Jon Jones this Summer and becomes the new Light-Heavyweight champion? Now we are talking a rematch with Gus for the title, or Daniel Cormier Vs “Rumble” Johnson. Who doesn’t want to see that? Granted, Jones would most likely get an immediate rematch if he were to lose, but one can readily see the tasty possibilities here.
DC Vs “The Mauler” is absolutely the fight to make. I’m actually surprised that it has not been talked about more in the mainstream media field. I woke up this morning and realized the fight was staring me right in the face. Of course, both DC and Alex are healing up from big fights, but one can only wonder and hope that Dana and the boys lock this match down as soon as possible.

With the track records of DC and Gustafsson, not only does this fight make sense, but it sounds incredible. These guys are top level fighters for a reason, and some of the best under the Zuffa banner. Neither man has lost two fights in a row, and that only adds to the intensity the fight and the fighters would bring to that Octagon. Each man is on a mission to get their hands on UFC gold, but also Jon Jones specifically as well. You add all this “motivation” in, and this match looks better by the second.
I’ve heard wind of Ryan Bader Vs Gustafsson, and let’s be honest, nobody is trying to see that.
