Andy ‘Taz’ Young Vs. Mahmood ‘Persian Pride’ Besharate (Flyweight Bout)

Andy ‘Taz’ Young (8-7) from Next Generation Northern Ireland, has seen somewhat of a career resurgence recently. Picking up two regional titles in his last two fights, the Newotanards, County Down based fighter, has made the UK flyweights sit up and take notice, especially after stopping the previously undefeated and highly regarded Luiz Gonzalez in his last fight. The Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing specialist will be looking now to taking a step up in competition after signing a multi fight deal with the promotion, as he attempts to ascend the BAMMA Flyweight rankings in his first bout with the promotion on November 14th.

Mahmood ‘Persian Pride’ Besharate (5-1) His first bout in two years following his break from the sport after a decision loss to BAMMA Flyweight Champion Rany Saadeh at BAMMA 15. The Iran born but Nottingham based fighter is a Muay Thai veteran with 15 years of Taekwondo behind him, Besharate reached 4th Dan level in Taekwondo and a earned a silver medal at International level. He also holds a British title in K1.

Ben ‘Bad Man’ Bennett Vs. Jai Herbert (Lightweight)

Ben ‘Bad Man’ Bennett (0-0) will be making his pro debut at BAMMA 23: Night Of Champions. Bennett made his first appearance for BAMMA at BAMMA 21, as part of the Amateur undercard where he put on a stunning display in his defeat of Daniel ‘Pork Chop’ Cassell via triangle choke at 2:59 of the 1st round. The Team Fulinkazan fighter amassed a record as 5-0 in his amateur career and holds gold medals in both Gi and Nogi Brazilian Ju-Jitsu.

Jai Herbert (2-0) from Wolverhampton, will be bringing the hometown advantage in his bout against Bennett at BAMMA 23. The Wolfpack MMA fighter previously competed at BAMMA Fight Night: Chadwick vs. Pascu, where he came away with a third round rear naked choke victory on the amateur prelims. With a background in Thai boxing Herbert will be looking to extend his undefeated streak and make waves in the Lightweight division.
