Michael Bisping thinks he’s figured out GSP’s plan.

Michael Bisping has told Georges St-Pierre to fight in July or he will give the title shot to Yoel Romero. It now seems Bisping said this out of frustration at not knowing what is going on with the GSP fight. Speaking on his SiriusXM show The Countdown, Bisping said: “Since the press conference, I haven’t heard a thing. It’s been radio silence. So I’m just getting a little frustrated with the whole situation. I’ve had no bout agreement. If you’re training for a fight, you’ve got to target your weight you’ve got to structure other things in your life, other opportunities that might come your way that you have to turn down. You’ve got to start planning it all, and July really isn’t that far away.” Since the match up was announced there has still been no word on date or venue. Rumours have suggested International Fight Week in July however it’s thought GSP wants the fight in September. Bisping suspects he knows GSP’s master plan. “Here’s what I think GSP’s plan is. He comes back, he fights me, he beats me. In the time that takes, Demian Maia beats Jorge Masvidal then he fights Tyron Woodley. [St-Pierre] believes – because he said this – that Maia beats Woodley. Then, from him fighting me, he fights Maia, relinquishes the 185-pound belt, then he goes for the 170 belt. He fights Maia because stylistically it’s a good fight for him because Georges is a great wrestler and he’s very, very accomplished at jiu-jitsu. I think he can do what I’m going to do to GSP, stop his takedowns and win the fight on the feet. “Then from there – he’s spoke about this – then he’s gonna relinquish that and then fight Conor McGregor for the lightweight belt. That is his master plan, I guarantee it. And if he can pull it off, then he would definitely go down as the greatest mixed martial arts fighter in history. “I do think that after that, he’s gonna fight at his weight class – 170 – and then go for the big, big money fight against Conor, which would be almost as big as, maybe, Conor vs. Floyd. That would do bigger numbers than Conor vs. Nate Diaz. It would be massive.” It seems a good plan for GSP and the UFC, with big money to be made. However Bisping plans on upsetting the plan. “You’ve gotta look at the dollars and cents. That, for [the UFC] – because me and Conor are never going to fight. I’m way too big, I’d slap him around silly, let’s be honest. But GSP, that’s fathomable. That could very, very easily happen, and if I own the company, that’s what I want. But I’m gonna rain on the parade. I’m gonna take a big s**t on that bonfire.” https://soundcloud.com/siriusxmrush/michael-bisping-speculates-on-what-the-master-plan-will-be-for-gsp-if-he-wins-their-fight

WWE’s Stephanie McMahon would love Ronda Rousey to move to WWE

WWE’s Stephanie McMahon would love Ronda Rousey to move to WWE No one knows for sure what Ronda Rousey has planned for her future. Rousey has kept fairly quiet since her second UFC defeat in a row by champion Amanda Nunes, following on from her Holly Holm defeat 13 months earlier. One organisation that seems keen to have her is WWE with two of their personalities mentioning Rousey this week. Rousey made a brief appearance at Wrestlemania a few years back and WWE chief brand officer Stephanie McMahon would love to see that move made permanent. “I would love for Ronda Rousey [to come to WWE],” McMahon told ESPN recently. “I know that she loves WWE and we certainly love her. “It would be a match made in heaven. Hopefully, one day we’ll have that opportunity.” This follows on from Paul Heyman, who looks after Brock Lesnars interests in WWE, mentioning Rousey while talking to Fox Sports Fight Society podcast. “I think the WWE audience would embrace Ronda Rousey with open arms,” Heyman told the Fight Society podcast this week. “Just her name recognition alone is huge. It doesn’t matter her past two experiences in UFC. “All that matters is if she got involved in a story that people could relate to and could sink their teeth into and get excited about.”
