The Buckeye State has seen many top-tier midwest talent over the years from Rich Franklin to Matt Brown.

 In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a bruising, diverse fighter looking to catapult himself to the next level at 205 pounds. A professional since June 2009 and representing Syndicate MMA, Josh Stansbury owns a 8-3 record in eleven career bouts consisting of five submissions, one knockout and two decisions.

At North American Allied Fight Series 6, Josh submitted Dane Bonnigson via Guillotine choke in the first round. Then he defeated Christopher Thad Schlichter via TKO in round one. Stansbury submitted John Opfar via guillotine choke in the first round. He also tapped out Dan Spohn at Bellator 71. Josh defeated John Hawk via unanimous decision. He submitted his next opponents in Victor Jones and Jeremy Osheim respectively. In 2016, Josh was selected as a part of The Ultimate Fighter 23 cast. To get into the house he submitted Trevor Carlson in the first round and was the top Light Heavyweight selection of team Joanna. In episode eight, he defeated Abdel Medjedoub via majority decision. In his UFC debut Josh defeated Cory Hendricks via majority decision. At UFN 112 on June 25, Stansbury will look to earn his second UFC victory when he faces the experienced Jeremy Kimball.  Good luck Josh!
