Conor McGregor has once again grabbed the headlines, while celebrating a win for his team mate Charlie Ward at Bellator 187.

Just weeks after McGregor was involved in an angry exchange with referee Marc Goddard at UFC Gdansk – the pride of Dublin once again finds himself in hot water, after jumping the cage to celebrate with his team-mate after a victory over John Redmond in Dublin.

The madness began when former UFC welterweight, Charlie Ward, put his opponent down with a left hook in the second round. 29 year old McGregor, who was in attendance to support Ward, jumped in to the cage and ran to him to celebrate. He appeared to react angrily when referee Marc Goddard tried to intervene. This resulted in a clash of pushing and shoving with McGregor pointing and shouting in the face of the veteran ref.

McGregor was restrained and escorted from the cage by officials, before once again jumping on to the cage and slapping another of the officials in the face.

The two weight UFC champion has not competed in MMA since defeating Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 last November, though he may now face punishment after this latest incident.
