Relations between Paul Daley and Bellator do not seem to be improving, Daley has just given me this statement:
“Seems the UK MMA media and Paul Ivan (Page head coach) seem to think I have a problem with fighting him.
This is NOT about not fighting Page. I’ve repeatedly said I will fight this overrated rookie in summer of 2018, my problem is with Bellator not keeping they’re agreement with the fights in between now and summer 2018. If they can do this then I will hand the boy a beating like never before, and then he can go back to boxing retired bingo hall doormen”
Whatever future, if any, Daley and Bellator have, a fight between Daley and MVP is a natural.
I said after the boxing debut of Page, that he needs to focus on either boxing or MMA, in trying to do both he won’t achieve much at either, at the very least not the heights he could achieve, both sports require 100% dedication, you cant keep doing one and then the other, something will eventually give.
If Daley and Page do not fight each other, personally I feel it would be a missed opportunity for all sides, including Bellator.
Daley seemingly wants the fight, it will be interesting to see what response we get from MVP and Bellator.
