Francis currently holds the record for the highest punching power ever measured by the UFC, at 129,161 units! This broke the previous record set by Tyrone Spong which was 114,000 units. From the years 2014-2017 he was riding a 10 fight winning streak. However, he recently lost to current UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic by unanimous decision at UFC220 on January 20, 2018. He is 6-1 inside the UFC Octagon.

His loss came one fight prior the Tybura victory where Mark Hunt TKO’d Lewis in 3:51 of the first round. This took place at UFC Fight Night: Lewis Vs Hunt on June 11, 2017. Both men earned the ‘Fight of the night’ bonus.

Recently Francis Ngannou has called Derrick Lewis out, saying. (via, Twitter):

“Derrick has been talking some of his sh*t while I was off. Can someone please let him know that I’m here now, so if he really wants me, he should send his manager to deal with @UFC.”
