The Wildfire – featuring UFC fighter Curtis Millender

California has been home to countless fighters over the years with the likes of UFC legend Dan Henderson and many more. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a terrifying prospect who is rampaging through the UFC‘S welterweight ranks like a California wildfire. A professional since February 2013 and representing CSW, Curtis Millender owns a 16-3 record in 19 career bouts comprised of 10 decisions and six knockouts. Prior to making his UFC debut in 2018, Millender competed for various promotions including Bellator MMA and Legacy Fighting Alliance. In his UFC tenure thusfar he has amassed a 2-0 record with one Performance of the Night bonus.

In his MMA debut at Fight Club OC, he defeated Paul Gemmati via unanimous decision. Then Millender knocked out Blake Belshe in the first round. He defeated his next five opponents that included wins over James Cheney and JC Liamas. At Bellator 141, Millender defeated Steven Ciaccio via unanimous decision. He also defeated his next two opponents via decision in Ozzie Alvarez and Casey Greene. At Bellator 170 Millender defeated Johnny Cisneros via TKO in the first round. For his debut outing with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 13, he defeated Kevin Holland via unanimous decision. In the headlining event at LFA 24 Millender knocked out Matthew Frincu in the first round via head kick. For his third consecutive headlining event at LFA 30, he knocked out Nick Barnes in round two.

In his debut outing with the UFC at UFN 126 Millender knocked out Brazil’s Thiago Alves in the second round and also earned his first Performance of the Night bonus in the process. For his second UFC appearance at UFC 226, he defeated Max Griffin via unanimous decision to earn back to back UFC victories and his eighth straight victory overall. With this raging California wildfire having won his last eight contests it will certainly be of great interest to see who the UFC pairs up with Millender next!
