Over the course of 27 seasons of The Ultimate Fighter, they have seen their fair share of submission specialists. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet two dynamic aces whose masterful handling of MMA’S rough waters made them two of TUF 27 top threats.

Joe Giannetti – A professional since June 2016 and representing South Shore Sportfighting, Joe Giannetti owns a 6-1 record in seven career bouts as a professional comprised of five submissions and one decision. Giannetti was featured on TUF 27 as a member of Team DC and has also fought for Cage Titans. In his MMA debut at Cage Titans 29, he submitted Frank Falso via armbar in the first round. Giannetti also tapped out his next two opponents in Alex Dolan and Keegan Hornstra. Then, he submitted Jay Ellis in the first round via rear naked choke at Cage Titans 33. At Cage Titans 34 Giannetti defeated Vince McGuinness via unanimous decision. For his final outing with Cage Titans 35, he submitted Keenan Raymond in the second round via guillotine choke. In 2018 Giannetti was chosen to be a part of the TUF 27 cast at lightweight and was the fifth lightweight pick of Team DC. In episode one, he submitted John Gunther in round one to advance to the semi-finals . Giannetti also tapped out Allan Zuniga via anaconda choke in the first round in episode 11 to advance to the finals. With five of his six professional wins ending via tap out, it is never a good idea to leave a limb exposed against this eastern eagle!

Tyler Diamond – A professional since March 2015 and representing Team Alpha Male, Tyler Diamond owns a 9-1 in 10 career bouts as a professional comprised of five knockouts, three decisions and one submission. Diamond was featured on TUF 27 as a member of Team DC and has also fought for KOTC, WFC Global Knockout and TPF. In his MMA debut, he knocked out Chad McEwen in the first round. Diamond also defeated his three opponents via knockout that saw wins over Matt Goff and Tyrone Henderson. He defeated his next opponents via decision in Cody Walker and Edward Thommes. At Global Knockout 9, Diamond defeated Ran Weathers via TKO in the first round. He defeated Nathan Stolen via unanimous decision at TPF 31. Diamond submitted Emilio Chavez via bulldog choke in round one at GKO 11. In 2018, he was selected to be a part of the TUF 27 cast at featherweight and was the top featherweight choice of Team DC. In episode eight, Diamond tapped out Dulani Perry in round two via guillotine choke to advance to the semi-finals. This California diamond continues to show great promise just 10 bouts into his professional MMA journey!
