Prior to making his UFC debut in 2018, Bermudez fought for Cage Titans and CES MMA. In his tenure with the UFC thus far he has amassed a 2-0 mark with one Performance of the Night bonus.
In his MMA debut at Cage Titans 24, Bermudez defeated Manny Torres via TKO in the first round. He tapped out his next three opponents that saw wins over Evan Parker and Scott Gorgone. Then at Cage Titans 27, Bermudez defeated Dan Dubuque via unanimous decision. He defeated his next opponents via submission in Rodrigo Almeida and Jeff Anderson. At CES MMA 39, Bermudez defeated Saul Almeida via split decision. He submitted Tony Gravely in the first round via armbar at Cage Titans 33. Bermudez also tapped out Bendy Casmir via triangle choke in the first round at Cage Titans 35. For his final outing with Cage Titans at Cage Titans 37, he submitted Seth Basler via triangle choke in round one.
In his debut outing with The UFC at UFC on Fox 28, Bermudez tapped out Albert Morales via guillotine choke in the second round. For his second UFC appearance at UFN 134, he faced The Ultimate Fighter season 18 alumni Davey Grant and submitted him in the first round via triangle choke to earn his first Performance of the Night bonus and extend his unbeaten streak to 13 to begin his professional career.
