Bellator MMA has made a great effort of building their female divisions up with a slew of tremendous talents under the watchful eye of president Scott Coker. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet two of the female powerhouses who are at the centre of Bellator MMA’s female surge.

Kristina Williams

A professional since October 2017 and representing American Elite Martial Arts, Kristina Williams owns a 3-1 record in four career bouts as a professional comprised of two decisions and one knockout. All three of William’s victories as a professional have come under the banner of Bellator MMA. In her MMA debut at Bellator 185, she defeated Heather Hardy via TKO in the second round. For her second appearance with Bellator MMA at Bellator 195 Williams defeated Emily Ducote via split decision. In her third outing with Bellator MMA, she faced Brazil’s Bruna Ellen at Bellator 210 in her home state of Oklahoma and defeated her via unanimous decision to earn her second decision victory as a professional. The victory also earned Williams her third professional victory with Bellator MMA. With a impressive 3-1 record and a ever expanding array of techniques, it is easy to see why this hard charging warhorse in considered by many to be the top female prospect in the state of Oklahoma!

 

Keri Melendez

A professional since November 2016 and representing Scrap Pack, Keri Melendez owns a perfect 3-0 comprised of one submission, one knockout and one decision. Melendez has spent the whole of her professional career with Bellator MMA. In her MMA debut at Bellator 165, she defeated Sheilla Padilla via TKO in the first round. Then at Bellator 201, Melendez tapped out Tianni Valle in round one via rear naked choke. In her third appearance with Bellator MMA at Bellator 206, she defeated Dakota Zimmerman via split decision to extend her perfect streak to three to begin her professional career. With a potent array of techniques to keep an opponent guessing at each and every turn Melendez has proven to be a tough riddle to solve!
