In Like a Lion featuring Cage Warriors fighters Mehdi Ben Lakhdar and Michael Younis

This year alone saw Cage Warriors continue to take monumental strides forward as one of the leading promotions as far as European MMA is concerned with many of Europe’s highly touted prospects making their debut for the promotion in 2018.

In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet two European up and comers looking to take 2019 on like a pair of fierce lions.

Mehdi Ben Lakhdar

A professional since November 2017 and representing MMA Factory, Mehdi Ben Lakhdar holds an undefeated 4-0 record comprised of two knockouts and two decisions.

He has fought for Budo Fighting Championships and Cage Warriors. Ben Lakhdar is currently 2-0 under the Cage Warriors banner.

In his MMA debut at Gladiator Fighting Arena 9, he defeated fellow Frenchman Dimitri Kestelyn via unanimous decision.

For his only outing with Budo Fighting Championships at Budo FC 31, Ben Lakhdar defeated Sturan Croxson via unanimous decision.

Then in his debut appearance with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 96,he defeated Anthony O’ Connor via TKO in the first round.

For his second outing with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 99 Ben Lakhdhar defeated Craig Edwards via TKO in round one to earn back to back victories with Cage Warriors and also earned his second knockout win as a professional in the process.

The win also extended Ben Lakhdar’s unbeaten streak to four to begin his professional career.

With an ever-evolving attack, this explosive Frenchman has already lit the fuse!

Michael Younis

A professional since September 2018 and representing Team Renegade, Michael Younis owns a perfect 2-0 record comprised of one submission and one knockout.

Younis has fought for Golden Ticket Fight Promotions and Cage Warriors. He has earned a finish in both of his wins as a professional.

Younis is currently 1-0 under the Cage Warriors banner.

In his MMA debut at Golden Ticket Fight Promotions Fight Night 10, he defeated Poland’s Szymon Szynkiewicz via TKO in the second round.

In his debut outing with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 98, Younis tapped out Marcin Prostko in round one via standing guillotine choke to earn his first victory with Cage Warriors.

This hungry finisher will look to come out roaring in 2019!
