A Lady of Luck featuring UFC fighter Lauren Murphy

In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a relentless ball of fire whose thirst to be the best makes her one of the sleeping giants in the women’s flyweight division.

A professional since June 2010 and representing The MMA Lab under head coach John Crouch, Lauren Murphy owns a 10-4 record in 14 career bouts as a professional comprised of seven knockouts and three decisions.

Prior to making her debut with the UFC in 2014, Murphy fought for various promotions including Invicta Fighting Championships. She was also featured on The Ultimate Fighter season 26.

Murphy has garnered one Fight of the Night bonus in her tenure with the UFC thus far.

In her MMA debut, she defeated Kloiah Wayland via TKO in the first round. Murphy also defeated her next three opponents that included victories over Julia Griffin and Leslie Wright. 

Then at Legacy Fighting Championship 18, she defeated Jennifer Scott via TKO in round one.

In her debut appearance with Invicta Fighting Championships at Invicta FC 5 Murphy defeated Kaitlin Young via unanimous decision.

She also defeated Sarah D’alelio via unanimous decision at Invicta FC 6. In her final outing with Invicta Fighting Championships at Invicta FC 7, Murphy defeated Miriam Nakamoto via TKO in the fourth round.

In her third UFC appearance at UFN 83, she defeated Kelly Faszholz via TKO in round three and earned her first Fight of the Night bonus in the process.

The victory also earned Murphy her seventh knockout win as a professional.

In 2017, she was selected to be a part of The Ultimate Fighter season 26 cast and was the third pick of team Eddie.

However, Murphy switched sides in episode eight and went over to team Justin.

At The Ultimate Fighter 26 finale, she defeated Barb Honchak via split decision.

With a fiery determination driving her on the road to success, it will take a lot more than luck to cool this fireball down!
